We want every guest to dine with confidence. Wherever possible, we will accommodate food allergies, dietary needs during pregnancy, and restrictions arising from medication. Please share the details with us when you book, and we will do all we can to prepare accordingly.
Children’s menus are available for both dinner and breakfast, so the youngest guests can share in the pleasure of the table alongside everyone else.

We offer transfers to and from Shuzenji Station. If you would like to be met on arrival, please let us know your arrival time at Shuzenji Station at least three days in advance.
Guests of Shakunage are also welcome to enjoy the facilities of the Ochiairo main building.
Guests may use the main building’s baths, where hot spring water flows continuously from the source through three distinct settings: a cave bath, an open-air bath, and an indoor bath.
Five saunas, each with its own character, await — including one recognized by Sauna-Chelin, Japan’s guide to the country’s finest saunas.
From drinks and savory nibbles to sweets such as ice lollies and dorayaki pancakes, everything in the lounge is complimentary and available at any hour.
From riverside walks accompanied by the sound of running water, to guided tours of our Registered Cultural Properties and quiet hours in the reading room — there is history and nature here in equal measure.

Complimentary Shuttle — reservation required
A shuttle service operates from the North Exit of Shuzenji Station at the following times:

To reserve, please contact us at least three days in advance and let us know your arrival time at Shuzenji Station.
Please note: the service is operated by two Toyota Alphard vehicles seating seven passengers each. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and you may be asked to share the vehicle with other guests or to adjust your departure time.
Guests on a 16:00 check-in plan should select 15:15 or later.

Tokai Bus services depart from the South Exit of Shuzenji Station.
